Call / Text: 612-419-2629

Looking to sell a BlueCrest Rival or Pitney Bowes DI2000 inserter? ZAR Corp actively purchases used Rival and DI2000 production mailing systems from commercial printers, transactional mail operations, direct-mail companies, service bureaus, in-plant facilities, and other production mailing environments.

The Rival/DI2000 is a modular production inserter capable of handling both letters and flats, and individual systems can differ considerably in their number of stations, feeder technology, sheet-input equipment, scanning, folding, software, and output configuration.

Whether your system is still running production, being replaced by newer equipment, or sitting idle, send ZAR the details.

Rival / DI2000 Configurations ZAR Is Looking For

ZAR is interested in a wide range of Rival and DI2000 configurations, from compact two-station systems to machines equipped with additional inserting capacity and higher-end input and integrity equipment.

Tell us if your system includes:

  • 2-station configurations

  • 3-station configurations

  • Additional or extended station configurations

  • Friction feeders

  • Full-servo friction feeders

  • Rotary feeders

  • High-capacity sheet feeders

  • Extended cut-sheet feeders

  • Vacuum or air-feed sheet input

  • Accumulators

  • Multi-stage buffers

  • Heavy-duty folders

  • Turnover modules

  • Flats capability

  • Vertical stackers

  • Output conveyors

  • Barcode readers

  • 1D or 2D scanning

  • OMR scanning

  • OCR capability

  • Cognex cameras

  • Meter bases

  • Updated PCs or operating systems

BlueCrest describes the Rival as a compact, modular system designed to process a wide range of letters and flats. Depending on configuration, systems can operate at speeds up to approximately 10,000 envelopes per hour, with an optional 12,000-envelope-per-hour capability.

Don’t see your exact configuration listed? Send it anyway. ZAR has handled numerous DI2000 and Rival variations over the years.

What Affects the Value of a Used Rival or DI2000?

The model name alone does not determine what a used Rival is worth. The installed hardware, age, usage and condition of the complete system can have a significant effect on resale value.

Year and generation

Rival and DI2000 systems span multiple equipment generations. Later machines may include newer controls, updated computers, servo feeders and more current scanning technology.

Cycle count

Current cycle or meter count is especially useful when evaluating a Rival. A low-cycle machine may command greater interest than a heavily used system of similar age and configuration.

Number and type of insert stations

A two-station machine serves different applications than a three-station or more extensively configured system. Identify both the number of stations and whether the machine uses friction, servo-friction or rotary feeding.

Sheet feeder

High-capacity, extended and air- or vacuum-fed sheet input can make a significant difference in the applications a system can handle.

Letter and flats capability

Rival systems can be configured for a range of envelope formats. Tell us whether your machine handles standard letter envelopes, 6×9 formats, larger flats, or a combination.

Scanning and integrity equipment

OMR, barcode, 2D, OCR and camera-based scanning can add significant practical value, particularly for transactional mail and jobs requiring document-to-envelope integrity.

Folding configuration

Rival systems may support C-fold, Z-fold, half-fold, double-fold and no-fold applications. Heavy-duty folding equipment and accumulator configurations should be identified in your submission.

Computer and software

Operating system, control software, user-interface version and computer upgrades matter—especially when comparing older DI2000 systems with later Rival configurations.

Mechanical condition

Current operating condition, maintenance history, wear components, known errors and any recent refurbishment work should all be disclosed.

Output and accessory equipment

Turnovers, stackers, conveyors, meter bases and related downstream equipment can increase the value and usefulness of a complete line.

Running, Idle or In Need of Repair?

Your Rival or DI2000 does not necessarily need to be freshly refurbished before ZAR will consider it.

We evaluate systems that are:

  • Currently running production

  • Operational but scheduled for replacement

  • Lightly used

  • Idle

  • Disconnected

  • In storage

  • Older but complete

  • In need of repair

  • Missing selected components

  • Part of a facility consolidation or closure

Condition will affect the value of the system, but an older or non-running machine may still contain desirable feeders, scanners, input equipment or other components.

Before scrapping a Rival or DI2000, send ZAR photographs and configuration information.

What to Send for a Rival / DI2000 Valuation

The more information ZAR has about your system, the easier it is to determine its configuration and current market potential.

For the fastest evaluation, provide:
