The trim vacs were connected to the mail inserters to collect the paper trimmings. We utilized large rolls of paper that we printed on and as the paper moved through the inserter, the paper would be trimmed and the trim would go into the trim vac bin. The bin had a plastic liner that the trim collected in, so you could easily dispose of the paper trimmings. This equipment provided a path for the trimmings to be collected.
